The new web site for the United Reformed Church Retreats Group is now live. This is actually an interim site. In due course it will be replaced by an interactive one where members of the URC Retreats Group can post details of events, and exchange information.
The snag is that the sense of what is needed on a web site often changes in the few months after it becomes live, as people react to it and new ideas come along. In this case it seems sensible to run a relatively simpl site for a while, to get a better sense of what the interactive one might be asked to do, before actually buidling it. It’s likely that the new site will use the Joomla content-management-system.
Elsewhere there’s been more work on the code to allow Silverfen clients to alter parts on their web sites without having to go to the expense of a full content-managment system.
The new web site for the Ucheldre Centre is currently waiting approval, an is likely to be live very soon, and the final adjustments to the new Drupal-backed Anglesey Arts Forum web site will be happening shortly as well.
